Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 Review:
This time, Sony has made its mark in the digital camera market again with its Cyber-shot DSC-S500 digital camera. This camera is a perfect choice for persons who are trying their hands at digital photography for the first time. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 combines simplicity, value and performance which make it a good and top notch camera.
Coming to the specs of the camera, it comes with a 6.0 megapixel zoom lens and 25 MB internal memory. The 6.0 megapixel super HAD CCD lens is really awesome. The 6.0 megapixel lens gives plenty of detail and definition to the images even at very large print sizes, without the loss of clarity. The Sony advanced Super Hole Accumulated Diode (HAD) CCD technology ensures more light to pass through each pixel and this causes increased sensitivity and reduced levels of noise and distortion. It also comes with 3X optical zoom which lets you to shoot images with better clarity. In addition, the Sony precision 2X digital zoom also provides 2X additional magnification.
The Camera ships with 25 MB memory and allows you to shoot images without having a
memory card. These images can then be transferred to optional memory stick media and then to the PC to take digital prints. The camera comes with an inbuilt slot for the memory stick duo media.
On the backside of the camera, a 2.4 inch LCD screen is located. The LCD screen is quite large and bright and good enough to read camera menus and to compose photos with good clarity. The camera also offers several photo modes. These modes are the auto, p-auto and scene selections for Twilight, Landscape, Soft Snap, Candlelight and Beach lighting conditions. The camera can capture audio/video clips at a resolution of 320 X 240. There is also the facility to fire off three shots automatically at 1 second intervals or 2 second intervals.
The camera comes with optional Sony NiMH rechargeable batteries that let you shoot up to 3502 images. However, with AA alkaline batteries, you can shoot up to 602 images.
What is more? The software that ships with the software makes it a snap to transfer images between the camera and the memory stick duo media. It makes it much easier to organize and browse though images. To conclude, the software that comes with it is quite 
top-notch.

I would recommend Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 to anyone entering the digital world. Its sleek look and feel makes it a pleasure to work with. But inside it is a treasure of features which can make any digital enthusiast happy. Its really easy to get all the images transferred from the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 . Though the 25 mb memory of the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 can be small for many, but the memory stick slot can fill the needs for additional memory.
The weight of the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 makes it comfortable to use. You wouldn’t regret your purchase of the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 the name alone makes me fell like this camera is that the top is the chain the digital camera world. I must agree with ARonald the look and fell of the
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 is make it very appealing, and even if I didn’t use the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 camera using it would be a breeze and I would expect the result to be nothing less than perfect.
After reading this review I think I’m going to purchase myself a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500.

The Sony Cyber shot DSC-S500 is great! I actually own this camera myself so I can honestly say that I love it. It is very easy to use and has some great features. I visited with my family a couple weeks ago and use the Sony Cybershot DSC S500 to make some videos as well as some snapshots.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 is very light weight yet well built. Hey, it comes from one of the best digital camera manufacturers around. The 6 mega pixel resolution will give you very high quality images that look fantastic when you have them printed.

I would highly recommend Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 .It’s light weight, compact and easy to use. I am not a high tech person, but found Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 easy to operate. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 camera takes very good pictures and unless you want to enlarge your photos, the mega pixel will be more than sufficient.
You wouldn’t regret your purchase of the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500.
