HP Pavilion dv6000t (Core 2 Duo T7400)

HP Pavilion dv6000t - Description and Review:
Just like all the laptops in the HP Pavilion series, the dv6000t is aesthetically appealing with its sleek design and shiny finish. Apart from good looks, the dv6000t is loaded with entertainment and high end features. However, none of these features are cutting edge and added to this, the battery life is also below the average mark. These restrict the HP Pavilion dv6000t to the casual home laptop user who doesn’t have to spend long hours away from a power socket.
Coming to the dimensions, the HP Pavilion dv600t measures 14 X 10.1 inches and is 1 inch thick. It weighs 6.2 pounds and when the weight of the adapter is added, the total traveling weight comes to just under 7.2 pounds. When compared with other leading laptops in the market, for instance, the Dell Inspirion E1505, this laptop is comparable in size but is much lighter. This makes it a good choice if you are interested in a laptop that is both lightweight and suitable for entertainment.
The HP dv6000t comes with a 15.4 inch and can display at a resolution of 1280 X 800. Colors appear brighter thanks to the glossy finish of the screen. A 1.3 megapixel camera comes inbuilt above the screen. There are two microphones as well, which eliminate the need for an external microphone. The camera and the microphones are most suited for video conferencing.
Above the keyboard, there are a row of light touch buttons which control the media player and volume functions. Just above these keys come the Altec Lansing stereo speakers which give excellent quality sound. There is a slight disadvantage with the speakers though, if you close the lid of the laptop, there is considerable loss of quality in the sound.
The HP Pavilion dv6000t offers a number of ports. These ports include four-pin FireWire, S-Video, 3 USB 2.0 ports and two headphone jacks. The laptops DVD burner lets you to create your own labels on compatible discs through the LightScribe feature.
The HP Pavilion dv6000t ships with Windows XP professional. Though, it can support many multimedia features, it is rather strange that it is not available with Windows XP Media Center Edition. A bundle of other software also comes bundled with it. This includes Microsoft Works 8 productivity suite, basic photo editing software, etc.
As far as the specs are concerned, the HP Pavilion is built on the Intel Core 2 Duo T7400 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 100GB hardisk, and Nvidia GeForce Go 7500 graphics card. With all these specs, the HP Pavilion dvt600t costs $1,539, which is quite affordable.

I had the opportunity to HP Pavilion dv6000t laptop at my friend’s place .He has chosen Go7400 as the GPU on his HP Pavilion dv6000t and i tried NFS on it and must say The HP Pavilion dv6000t laptop is capable of handling some of the latest games with ease.
The screen is good enough for movies and work . The sound is excellent .I would recommend that anyone getting this laptop should get it with a discrete GPU (i find onboard gpu a little slow). However if battery life is more important u can go for onboard gpu on the HP laptop.
HP Pavilion dv6000t has a a very sleek design which is a clear plus for anyone looking out for a good looking laptop.
The only gripe is that at 6.1 lbs it is slightly heavy(not that there arent heavier laptops than that) but those looking for portability will find it difficult to lug it around.

The HP Pavilion dv6000t (Core 2 Duo T7400) is an impressive laptop. The good thing I can say about this laptop is that it has a cool slick look to it, a built in webcam and two headphones jacks which is good in my book. Like most laptops I say the battery life of the HP Pavilion dv6000t (Core 2 Duo T7400) is pretty low.
Over all the HP Pavilion dv6000t (Core 2 Duo T7400) has a great look, like all HP laptops it’s comes with great multimedia features but the performance speed of this laptop isn’t the fastest in the market so I’ll skip this one.
HP Pavilion dv6000t (Core 2 Duo T7400) wouldn’t recommend if your looking for the fastest laptop out there.

Laptop computers are getting more popular all the time. The HP Pavilion dv6000t (Core 2 Duo T7400) looks like a good one. The HP Pavilion dv6000t features a 15.4 inch screen which is very nice. I can honestly say that I believe HP makes the best computers so I would expect the HP Pavilion dv6000t to be of the highest quality
Aside from it’s quality the HP Pavilion dv6000t is also a very nice looking laptop you can be proud to own. It even has a built in digital camera and two microphones. The HP Pavilion dv6000t ships out with Windows XP professional installed, which is definitely a good bonus.

AS we all know laptops are getting popular more and more these days, also one needs a very sleek and trendy laptop these days. The HP Pavilion dv6000’s sleek design and shiny finish hold its own next to systems from style-conscious manufacturers such as Apple and Sony. The HP Pavilion dv6000t features a 15.4 inch screen which is als very nice.
Aside from its good looks, the HP Pavilion dv6000 also provides a solid set of entertainment features and high-end components for a fair price.
The only drawback of HP Pavilion dv6000 is that, it is slightly heavy and so it is not recommended for people looking for very light weight and portable laptops.
