Sony Ericsson walkman phones have been always hot. After creating walkman phones in swivel, flip phones and candy bar designs in the past, this time Sony Ericsson has chosen to cast its latest model, the W850i Walkman, in a slider model. This model is very trendy but it is a bit confusing to use as the navigation controls are not so up to the mark. The features offered by the Sony Ericsson W850i are same as the other phones in the Walkman series. However, the W850i is a bit costly at $539.
The slider mechanism of the W850i is well constructed and it is very easy to move the slider up and down using one hand. Unlike the other slider phones, it does not fit exactly when positioned against the ear, but it is still very comfortable while talking. The dimensions of the phone are a bit large measuring 98 X 47 X 21 mm and though its weight is not bothersome enough, it can still be considered bulky weighing at 116 grams. However, it is still very sporty and attractive. It ships in two colors: black and white.
The display is quite sizable at 2 inches with 24 X 320 pixels and can display 262,144 colors. Just like other phones in the series, the display is quite nice to the eyes and displays photos, menus and games quite perfectly. The clock size and brightness of the display can be adjusted as required but other parameters cannot be altered. The navigation controls located below the display are quite large and match with the surface of the phone. However, the bright orange colored walkman button is very thin and so is difficult to press unless you have nails.
The W850i offers attractive features that are at par with other phones in the walkman series. The phone book can hold up to 1000 contacts and another 250 names can be saved to the SIM card. The organizer is similarly impressive with features like alarm clock, task list, notepad, calendar, calculator, stop watch and code memo for storing passwords. The phone comes with Bluetooth for headsets and an infrared port. The music player is very good and comes with features like song shuffle/loop, equalizer and stereo widening. The 2 mega pixel camera enables pictures to be taken in 3 sizes and the clarity is exceptionally good. The inbuilt camera flash also serves up as a flash light.
The phone ships with USB cable and PC suite software and these make loading the phone with mp3 songs a snap. It is quite easy to use the software and the quality of music is fantastic. The audio is crystal clear and has plenty of volume. In short, the Sony Ericsson W850i is a good choice for someone interested in buying a walkman phone.

Sony Ericsson W850i is the perfect multimedia phone for any one on the Go! The looks of the Sony Ericsson W850i are very impressive, when standing vertically it wields the look of an mp3 and a phone and when slanted horizontally it’s totally a camera.
The slide out number pad is a nice feature that comes with the Sony Ericsson W850i but the 2.0 Megapixel camera is a bit of a turn off. But the key features; Walkman music player and the 3G for high speed Internet and video calls of the Sony Ericsson W850i makes me want to purchase it.

The multimedia features of Sony Ericsson W850i is really great and one of those many factors that make it impressive. With its compact design, its really easy to use. The integration of camera and multimedia features like mp3 playing in the Sony Ericsson W850i is one of the best I have seen.
The 3G feature of the Sony Ericsson W850i also makes it a goody buy. Its really beneficial in many cases to look at the person you’re talking to, especially when you’re close friends not met for ages!
With numerous features of the Sony Ericsson W850i, the music feature makes it a great buy! I would recommend anyone to go ahead and buy it!

The W850i Walkman phone combines all the best toys into one. You have a mobile phone, a Walkman music player and a camera in one device. You can even browse the Internet with the W850i Walkman phone. Electronics seem to be getting better all the time. The W850i Walkman phone has 3G video calling so you can look face to face with the person you are speaking with.
Before reading about the W850i Walkman phone today I really didnt know that much about it. But after learning about it’s cool features I would rally like to have the opportunity to check one out.
